PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a car washing machine capable of obtaining satisfactory drying effect by adjusting appearance and retraction position of a side blast nozzle according to the shape of a vehicle body of a washing target vehicle; and a method for driving the size blast nozzle.SOLUTION: A car washing machine WA includes: a side brush 5 to wash the side surfaces of a washing target vehicle CA; a top brush 4 to wash the upper surface thereof; a side blast nozzle 22 to spray air for drying after the washing; and a control device to control driving of these. Appearance and retraction of the side blast nozzle 22 are controlled on the basis of lateral position data according to appearance and retraction movement of the side brush 5, and vertical position data according to up-and-down movement of the top brush 4. |
