SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES

PURPOSE: A system for controlling household appliances is provided to connect a plurality of household appliances installing embedded modules and PNA(Phoneline Network Alliance) modules to a telephone line installed in home without installing a specific LAN(Local Area Network) cable and perform a communication. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of household appliances(A1-A3) are controlled according to a control signal transmitted through a telephone line(P) installed in home for generating state information and transmitting through the telephone line(P). PNA modules(P1-P3) connect the household appliances(A1-A3) to the telephone line(P) so that the household appliances(A1-A3) transmits and receives a signal through the telephone line(P), and manage the connection. Embedded communication modules(B1-B3) process information transmitted and received through the telephone line(P) by using the PNA modules(P1-P3) and an Ethernet communication to be capable of transmitting and receiving information with the household appliances(A1-A3), and store IP addresses corresponding to the household appliances(A1-A3).
