PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small electric fan with an oscillation mechanism of a small size and for a general purpose.SOLUTION: An oscillation mechanism for an electric fan comprises: an electric fan body A for performing swing operations; a pedestal part C constituted of a bottom plate 41 and a base part 25 turnably mounted at an upper portion of that bottom plate 41; and a swing driving unit B, and is provided with a swing driving motor 13 in the swing driving unit B, wherein the swing driving unit B is held in the electric fan body A. The swing driving unit B includes: a cam body 21 drive-linked to the rotation of the motor 13; an oscillation rack body 20 for oscillatory actions in a driven linkage to that cam body and having a rack 20a at the oscillation end part; and a ratchet gear 40 held on the bottom plate 41 of the pedestal part C. The rack 20a and the ratchet gear 40 mesh each other, and a coil spring 42 forced to contact with the base part 25 is arranged at the central cylinder part of the ratchet gear 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
