PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide wire having excellent working efficiency and, when passing through a meandering part, a branch part, or a narrow part of a body cavity, capable of changing rigidity of a distal end of the guide wire without exchanging the guide wire.SOLUTION: A guide wire 1 includes: a sheath 2, and an inner core 7 disposed in a lumen 3 of the sheath 2. The sheath 2 includes a sheath protrusion 4 formed at the distal side thereof so as to project to the lumen 3 of the sheath 2. The inner core 7 includes: an inner core first groove part 8 for movably fitting the sheath protrusion 4, formed along the axial direction; and a plurality of inner core second grooves 9 continuously formed from the inner core first groove 8, and fitting so as to fix the axial movement of the sheath protrusion 4, formed along the circumferential direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
