PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller leveler calibration method capable of accurately calibrating a state of a rolling reduction of each leveling roller in a direction crossing a plate passing direction.SOLUTION: A plurality of attachment grooves 9 are formed in a surface in a direction crossing a plate passing direction and strain gauges 10 are attached to the respective attachment grooves 9, thereby forming a strain measuring steel plate 8. This strain measuring steel plate 8 is passed between leveling rolls 2 and 3 and each strain gauge 10 measures a surface strain generated when the steel plate 8 is passed therebetween. A plurality of measured surface strains in the direction crossing the plate passing direction are converted to a plurality of rolling reductions of the respective leveling rolls 2 and 3 in the direction crossing the plate passing direction, and states of the respective leveling rolls 2 and 3 are regulated so that the rolling reductions of the leveling rolls 2 and 3 obtained by conversion are equal to a preset rolling reduction. The rolling reduction states of the respective leveling rolls 2 and 3 in the direction crossing the plate passing direction can be thereby calibrated. |
