PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining device for packing paper, for running a sheet for cleaning previously to packing paper for agent folding in an agent folding device, and cleaning a moving route, which joins a sheet for cleaning at a fixed length to the tip part of the packing paper, and a joining method therefor.SOLUTION: The joining device is composed of: the guide part 13 at the tip part of packing paper 11; a sheet holding part 16 holding the tip part of a sheet 14 for cleaning; and a joining unit 22 movable between the guide part 13 and the sheet holding part 16. The joining unit 22 includes: a chuck 25 for grasping the tip part of the packing paper 11 and, in accordance with the movement of the joining unit 22, overlapping the edge part thereof to the tip part of the sheet 14; a heater 28 for joining the overlapping part by thermal fusion; and a cutter 26, after the joining by thermal fusion, cutting the sheet 14 wound to the side of the packing paper 11 in a fixed amount on the way. |
