PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader, an imaging device, a network system, an original read control method, a storage medium, and a program capable of providing integrally optimal productivity in network scan to a user, by automatically controlling the switching of an original reading mode capable of obtaining high productivity and an original reading mode capable of obtaining stable productivity, based on the temperature detection of an optical drive means and original-carrying means. SOLUTION: When the temperature temp1 of an original carriage motor 203 exceeds a prescribed temperature TH1, or the temperature temp2 of an optical driving motor 200 exceeds a prescribed temperature TH2; a CPU 171 of an imaging device switches a first original reading mode for starting the next original reading immediately, after storing the image data to a second original reading mode, for executing the original reading with a prescribed interval longer than a time required for storing the image data, in order to execute the original reading. |
