PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-saving server, that can efficiently save the power consumption of the overall system, without increasing the waiting time for a user making print processing. SOLUTION: The power-saving server 1 tentatively revises all image forming devices into a power-saving state, so as to discriminate whether or not the total sum of the power consumption of all the image forming devices exceeds an upper limit target. When the total power consumption of all the image forming devices exceeds the upper limit target, the power saving server 1 will not revise the state of the image forming devices to a ready state, gives a command to each imaging device tentatively into the power-saving state to shift the tentatively set power-saving state into the formal power-saving state and gives a command to each imaging device tentatively revised into a ready state, to shift from the tentatively revised ready state to a formally ready state. When the total power consumption of all the image forming devices is smaller than the upper limit target, the power saving server 1 tentatively revises the state of the imaging device discriminated to have the highest priority into the ready state. |
