PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which is excellent in resistance to clogging, can be stably delivered even in continuous printing, is excellent in long-time storage stability, and is not limited by a dye used therein. SOLUTION: This ink composition for ink jet recording at least contains 0.1-9 wt.% water-soluble dye, 4-56 wt.% water-soluble organic solvent comprising ethyl carbitol, diethylene glycol, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, ethyleneurea, and triethanolamine, and 0.01-5 wt.% surfactant, the rest being water. |
