The holding brake is for mounting on a pivoted bogie on railway rolling-stock, with at least one brake beam, and with two blocks acting in conjunction with the wheels, and an activating device linked to the beam and acting on a second brake beam or on the bogie carrier. The force to be applied to the holding brake acts vertically to the axis of the brake activating mechanism, via an assembly (10, 11) which converts the force into another force acting axially in the operative direction of the activating mechanism. |
