The invention relates to a quilted textile material having a front covering material, a back covering material and a filling between them, in which the two covering materials and the filling are joined to one another by one or more quilting seams. Provided in the region of the quilting seams between the filling and one or both covering materials is a heat-insulating layer of material which reduces heat conduction through the quilt and heat radiation from the quilt in the region of the quilting seams. The heat-insulating material has a thin layer of metal on one of its surfaces.
