PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording apparatus capable of obtaining a printed matter of a desired printing size without wasting an ink sheet in a miniaturized size as much as possible. SOLUTION: Thermal heads 15a, 15b are provided movably in the main scanning direction as well as they are disposed by each 2 sets side by side in the sub scanning direction. A large number of heat generating elements are formed linearly in the sub scanning direction in thermal heads 14a, 14b. An ink sheet 13a with yellow and magenta coated parallel in the main scanning direction is provided corresponding to the thermal head 14a, and an ink sheet 13b with cyan and an overcoating layer coated parallel in the main scanning direction is provided corresponding to the thermal head 14b. |
