PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image fixing device capable of preventing defective fixation, the overshooting of a roller temperature and the temperature rise inside the device. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an image carrier as a photoreceptor, an exposure device for exposing the image carrier, and a developing means for developing the electrostatic latent image formed on the image carrier by exposing by the exposure device, and the device is provided with heating/ pressure system fixing roller 31 and pressure roller 32 (fixing means) provided with halogen heaters (heat source or heat generating body) 33 and 33' inside the rollers, and with a mold releasing layer having a releasing property with reference to the toner and an elastic layer on the surface, and an multicolor/ multilayer (full color) or monochromatic (mono color) unfixed developer image is fixed on a recording material P by holding and carrying the recording material P with the unfixed developer image by the fixing roller 31 and the pressure roller 32 (fixing means), the temperature drop of one sheet in passing on the surface of the fixing roller 31 or the surface of the pressure roller 32 is detected, and when the temperature drop exceeds a prescribed value, a throughput is reduced after printing a prescribed number of sheets. |
