FAULT DETECTOR FOR COPYING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To prevent the failure of parts at the time of overloading and to prevent the exertion of an influence on a user's copying operation by mounting a driven or driving side gear shaft in such a manner that said shaft can be displaced when the load of toner recovery attains a specified value or above and providing a detecting member for detecting the displacement thereof and a display device. CONSTITUTION:The driven or driving side gear 12 or 11 shaft is so mounted to a copying device provided with a driving transmission device using the gears 11, 12 for recovering the waste toner in such a manner that said shaft can be displaced when the load of the toner recovery attains the specified value or above. The detecting member 19 which detects the displacement thereof and the display device are provided. The fault display is flickered in an operation part and the smaller of the prescribed number of copies after the detection or the remaining number of copies in said copying mode is given priority when the overloading is detected. The fault display is lighted after the end to prohibit the copying. The failure of the parts at the time of the overloading is thereby prevented and no influence is exerted to the user's copying operation.
