The couch or seat comprises a frame (2) on which two or more sets of strips (3,4) are secured close together. The strips in the sets intersect, and everywhere they do so (5) a small cushion (6) is mounted above them. The strips can be interwoven, intersecting at 90 deg.. One or more elastic strips can be included in one of the sets at least. The strips can be passed round the frame, their ends being joined together by adjustable means.
