PURPOSE:To reliably mount a plug body in the given position of a branch pipe through a main pipe by providing a body part moved in the main pipe in the axial direction thereof and a plug support part to support the plug body of a liquid inflow preventing plug and press the plug body in a branch pipe through elevation of the liquid inflow preventing plug. CONSTITUTION:A press-in lever 38 having a given length is mounted to a plug support plate 36 in a manner to coincide to the inclination angle of a branch pipe 82, a lock plate 11 of a liquid inflow preventing plug 10 is positioned on a plug support base 39, and the whole of a plug mounting device is pulled in a main pipe 81 by means of a traction rope 60. The plug 10 is positioned right below the opening part of the branch pipe 82 by means of a television photographing device 40, and with a plug support part 30 raised, the plug body 13 is inserted in the branch pipe 82. The lock plate 11 is locked to the peripheral edge of the open end of the branch pipe 82, the plug body 13 is further inserted in the branch pipe 82 by means of a press in lever 38, and a coupling body 12 is stretched. Gas is injected in the plug body 13 through an air injection pipe 13a by means of a nozzle 41, and the outer peripheral surface of the plug body 13 is forced into liquidtight pressure contact with the inner peripheral surface of the branch pipe 82. This constitution enables reliable press-in of the plug even when the branch pipe is inclined based on the main pipe. |
