PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a vibration-proofing device by providing, between inner and a outer tubes, a stopper body which limits relative movement quantity of the inner and outer tubes through a process of caulkingly fixing with the outer tube. CONSTITUTION:When a vibraton-proofing device 10 is mounted on an automobile, its inner tube 12 moves downward to some extent in relation to an outer tube 16 due to the weight of an engine, and a gap not shown in the figure occurs between the bottom plate part 21A of a stopper body 20 and a main body rubber 18. Vibration of engine generated during vehicle travel is transmitted to the main body rubber 18 via the inner tube 12, and damped by inner friction of the rubber 18. Since the rubber 18, vulcanizedly stuck to the outer peripheral surface of the inner tube 12, abuts the bottom plate part 21A of the stopper body 20 when a large load acts on the inner tube 12 and the inner tube 12 is about to largely move to the upper part during traveling on a bad road, a movement of the inner tube 12 in the direction of the outer tube 16 is checked at a given position by the stopper body 20. As a result any large displacement of the rubber 18 is eliminated, and durability of the vibration- proofing device 10 is improved. Both end parts 20A of the stopper body 20 are nippedly held with the caulking piece 16A of the outer tube 16, and falling of the stopper body 20 is eliminated. |
