<p>PURPOSE: To enlarge an identification zone, to improve the reliability of a system, and to minimize erroneous alarm occurrence rate by transmitting and receiving at least two different magnetic energy at the time of detecting the presence of an article carrying an indicator including a magnetic marker. CONSTITUTION: In an article monitor system 1, a device 8 which detects the presence of an article 2 passing an identification zone 3 by providing an indicator (flag) 4 including a magnetic marker 5 at each article, is provided with at least first and second operation modes using different energy transmission and reception characteristics. Then, the two operation modes of the device 8 are used for deciding the presence of the article by the system 1. Thus, the high selection rate, high system width, and low erroneous alarm occurrence rate can be obtained in this system.</p> |
