A device (1) for automatically stacking or palletizing flat elements (2) has, mounted fixedly in a frame (7), a collecting table (9) on which the elements (2) to be stacked arrive. From the collecting table (9), the individual elements are transferred by means of a transfer table (18) into the space defined for a pallet held in the device (1). In said space, the flat elements are either taken by the pallet itself or, if no pallet is available, by the intermediate setting-down table (31). Both the intermediate setting-down table (31) and the transfer table (18) are formed as rakes so as to be capable of intermeshing. Situated above the plane of the collecting table are three abutments (25, 41, 42, 44), of which one is movable, while underneath the plane of the collecting table (9) are provided two abutments (41, 42, 44, 47), of which two are adjustable and one is moved back and forth during operation, in order to guide the stacking head and keep it aligned. <IMAGE> |
