TWO-DIMENSIONAL MEMORY DEVICE FOR SCANNING DIRECTION CONVERSION

PURPOSE:To provide the two-dimensional memory device for scanning direction conversion which can convert a scanning direction with small memory capacity. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a random access memory 1 of MXM size which stores two-dimensional data in one-process units consisting of NXM (M>N) samples and an address generator 2 which writes and reads sample data by reading data of a (t-1)th field written in the random access memory 1 yet and writing data of a (t)th field, sample by sample, and alternating fields which are written longitudinally and read laterally and fields which are read longitudinally and written laterally.
