Clamping device for wire during shear process

The clamp device is integrated in the shear lever (1). The clamping action is performed by a finger (10) that is linked with a ram controlled, spring loaded roller ram (2) via a spring ram (8). The clamping movement is perpendicular to the shearing direction of the lever's blade (17). The centre of rotation of the clamping device cam (5) is also the centre of rotation of the shear lever. The movement of the cam and of the shear lever dual cam (6) can follow any distance time relation. They are linked by a pair of gear wheels.
