Electroluminescent lighting method for e.g. model railway vehicle

The method employs thin radiant electroluminescent elements (2) to cover all or most of the space (1) to be illuminated on the model vehicle, usually from above. The elements take the form of films with substantially greater brightness and various background colours. The power supply is provided by a voltage transformer circuit such as a module drawing its current from the traction supply or other sources. It operates at about 500 Hz and requires a voltage of 100 V. The brightness can be maintained constant by voltage stabilisation.
