PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a residual quantity of blanks inside a magazine constant so as to smoothly perform removal operation of a blank from the magazine. SOLUTION: A blank feeder is provided with a magazine 13, in which a blank can be moved toward an outlet 12 by its own self-weight, and a conveyor 14, in which movement of the blank due to its self-weight is prevented on the conveyor 14 and the upper end of the blank in a conveying path terminal end is supported by means of the blank in the upper end inside the magazine 13. The blank feeder is also provided with sensors 41-43, which output non-detection signals if the residual quantity of the blanks B inside the magazine 13 becomes the predetemtined quantity or less and output detection signals if the residual quantity exceed the predetermined quantity, and a driving means, which drives the conveyor 14 on the basis of the non-detection signals from the sensors 41-43 and stops the drive of the conveyor 14 on the basis of the detection signals. |
