PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably make adhere treatment liquid to the surface to be recorded in an ink jet printer using a head capable of forming a recording dot by discharging ink from a plurality of discharge ports and a head for the liquid having the same constitution as that of the recording head by forming treatment liquid dot by discharging the liquid for enhancing the ink fixing properties onto the medium. SOLUTION: This apparatus for ink jet printing comprises OR calculating means 709 for calculating OR of drive data of a plurality of recording heads, differentiating means 710 for differentiating the output, AND and OR calculating means 711 for calculating AND and OF of the drive data and the differentiated output, and dither processing means 712 for dither-processing the output, wherein the treatment liquid head is discharged based on the output. Thus, the liquid is discharged in response to the sum of the discharged ink, the discharge port for discharging the liquid is not extremely deviated, but adheres the suitable amount at the suitable position responsive to the recording data onto the surface to be recorded. |
