PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the economic value of a card itself by providing much higher decorativeness than that of the conventional card of the same type in the card such as a prepaid card, a credit card decorated with a gold foil on the surface and a method for manufacturing the card. SOLUTION: The card comprises a rectangular flat plate-like card base 1 provided at the corners with roundness, a rectangular gold foil plate 3 attached to the base and having a thickness of 10 microns or more and smaller size than the base, and a transparent coating layer 5 covering the surface of the plate and the surface of the peripheral edge of the exposed base. The layer 2 of thermally weldable resin is formed on the surface of the base 1, the plate 3 cut in a predetermined size is attached thereonto, and passed through a hot roll together with the transparent coating resin sheet. |
