PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disk device driving circuit, which can perform an appropriate control to vary the access speed of an optical disk having an arbitrary storage capacity, by constituting the circuit to make the access speed variable. SOLUTION: The target speed obtained from a target speed generating table 130 is made into a prescribed multiple speed by a multiplyer 140. A gain circuit 170 outputs first gain data in accordance with the relative speed in a wide bandwidth between the prescribed multiple speed data and the speed data obtained from a speed detector 150. The first gain data are limited to an arbitrary level by an acceleration limiter 210 and a deceleration limiter 220 and transmitted to a driver 191 to drive a fine actuator 10. Moreover, the first gain data are multiplied byβ/αby aβ/αmultiplier 180 to generate a second gain data which provides a relative speed in a narrow bandwidth. The data are limited to an arbitrary level by a limiter 230 and then, transmitted to a driver 192 to drive a coarse actuator 20.
