PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition of an antigenic peptide derived from Fc parts of epsilon heavy chains of IgE molecules derived from two independent species, a vaccine for treating and preventing an IgE-mediated allergic disease, and a usage of the composition, especially, the composition for treating and preventing an IgE-mediated allergic disease containing an immunogenic amount of >=1 antigenic peptide. SOLUTION: An isolated antigenic peptide contains the following: (i) an amino acid residue in the CH3 domain of an IgE molecule derived from the first species; and (ii) an amino acid residue in the CH3 domain of an IgE molecule derived from the second species independent from the first species. The amino acid residue in the CH3 domain of an IgE molecule derived from the first species is preserved in the CH3 domain of the IgE molecule of the second species, and the amino acid residue in the CH3 domain of an IgE molecule derived from the second species is not reserved in the CH3 domain of the IgE molecule of the first species. When the antigenic peptide is administered to an animal, it induces an anti-IgE immune reaction which does not cause anaphylaxis. |
