PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an outboard motor in a lateral width direction and rationally design a lubrication passage down to an oil filter. SOLUTION: The outboard motor is equipped with a four-stroke V-engine having a crankshaft 22 arranged vertically and a plurality of cylinders 26 arranged in V-shaped banks, in a position where the crankshaft is in the front and cylinder heads are in the rear. Exhaust passages of the engine 21 are disposed outside the V-shaped banks and bent toward a crankcase 31a from the cylinder heads 33 before connected downstream. An oil pump is disposed at a lower end of the crankshaft. An oil passage 69 from the oil pump is defined in the crankcase of the engine. The oil filter 56 is arranged in front of the crankcase. |
