PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor that can accurately detect the oxygen concentration of a gas to be detected even when water infiltrates into its principal body metal fitting. SOLUTION: This oxygen sensor 2 is provided with an auxiliary sleeve 8 between a sleeve 6 to which lead frames 10 are installed and talc powder 108. The auxiliary sleeve 8 is provided with a chamfered part 82b and a groove 82a in its inserting hole 82 into which a detecting element 4 is inserted. The bent section 14 of the lead frame 10 is held between the sleeves 6 and 8. Since the bent section 14 does not touch the talc powder 108 and the water advancing to the sleeve 6 is intercepted and stored in the groove 82a and chamfered part 82b in this sensor 2, the decline of the insulation resistance between the lead frames 10 can be prevented even when water infiltrates into the principal body metal fitting 102. Therefore, this oxygen sensor 2 can always accurately detect the oxygen concentration. |
