PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a concentric gradation plotting processing whose load is reduced. SOLUTION: An instruction analyzing means 1 analyzes plotting data for designating two points on a plotted plane and a color at each point from an inputted printing job, and designates concentric gradation plotting. When a plotting instruction is analyzed by the instruction analyzing means 1, a plotting means 2 develops the gradation pattern by using a gradation pattern developing means 4. At that time, the gradation pattern developing means 4 obtains a color at a position where a scanning line crosses the boundary of plotting areas based on the plotting data held by a plotting data holding means 3, and obtains a position where the color changes next. This operation is repeated until the edge of the plotting area so that the system of picture elements indicating colors successively changing within the plotting area can be obtained. This processing is applied to all scanning lines crossing the plotting area so that the gradation pattern can be prepared. |
