The invention concerns a method for eliminating or decreasing the formation of deposits, films or biofilms in close circuit water installations in particular of paper machines with high assimilable carbon content, by adding micro-organisms, in particular bacteria, non-sessile in the medium conditions, which compete with the bacteria generating these deposits, films or biofilms. The invention is characterised in that the micro-organisms added are micro-organisms with low growth yield on assimilable organic carbon. |
