DISINFECTION METHOD OF ACTIVATED CARBON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disinfection method of activated carbon to surely disinfect various bacteria growing in an activated carbon tower. SOLUTION: This disinfection method of activated carbon includes the following processes. A draining process to drain all of the water in the activated carbon tower filled with activated carbon. A hot water supplying process to supply hot water to form an upward stream to the activated carbon tower. A preheating process to supply hot water till a thermometer disposed at the discharging part of the activated carbon tower shows a specified temp. or higher exceeding 80 deg.C. A hot water circulating process to circulate hot water at least for 10 min. at a specified temp. higher than 80 deg.C at the reading of the thermometer. A hot water draining process to drain the hot water in the activated carbon tower. A cooling and blowing process to fill the activated carbon tower with water and then to supply water till the temp. of the drained water from the activated carbon tower decreases to <=40 deg.C.
