PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve product recovery by reducing the recovery and removal of a product ion by a thermally ionized ion removing device. SOLUTION: In a laser isotope separating device for ionizing a specific isotopes in a vapor 6 to generate the ions to form photoionized plasma 7 by irradiating vapor 6 obtained by vaporizing a material 3 to be separated by electron beam 5 with laser beam in a vacuum vessel 1, recovering the specific isotope ions on a product recovering plate 8 and simultaneously recovering and removing the thermal ionized plasma 9 by a thermally ionized ion removing electrode 10, the recovery of photoionized plasma 7 by the thermally ionized ion removing electrode 10 is eliminated and product recovery efficiency by the product recovering plate 8 is improved by mounting the thermally ionized ion removing electrode 10 at a position, where the potential formed by the thermally ionized ion removing electrode 10 distributes with a difference of <=1 V to the plasma potential of photoionized plasma 7 in a generating region of photoionized plasma 7.
