摘要 PURPOSE: A slim-typed light pickup using total reflection prism is provided to enhance a productivity by using a prism having a non-reflection penetrating characteristic in a vertical incidence and a total reflection characteristic in an above 45 degree incidence. CONSTITUTION: When a laser diode light source(31) is operated, a light having a 650nm wave length and being outputted from the light source(31) is reflected and penetrated successively by the first light separator(321) and the second light separator(322) integrally mounted thereto. The first light separator(321) performs a total reflection of a linear polarized light of S wave from the 650nm wave length using a polarizing light separator for enhancing a light efficiency. The linear polarized light is penetrated by the second light separator(322) and becomes a circle polarized light through a phase plate(34). A collimating lens(33) collimates the light penetrated the phase plate(34) in parallel to a light axis which is vertical to a collimating lens surface. The collimated light is penetrated by a total reflection prism(35). The lights penetrating the total reflection prism(35) is inputted to a ring-shaped shield object lens(36).
