PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for filtration is provided to remove and filter various impurities contained in a mixture, to prevent the blocking of a filter due to the impurities, and to improve the efficiency of filtration. CONSTITUTION: The filtering apparatus consists of a bundle of filter brush(5), a filter brush mount(11), a driver lifting device, and a cage device. The filter brush bundle inclined from the ground dehydrates the liquid contained in the mixture supplied through a supply pipe(1) as well as filters the impurities among the mixture. The filter brushes are spaced from each other at regular distances on the filter brush mount. The filter brush mount is fastened to a shaft(9) rotated by the driver(7). The driver lifting device is integrated with the driver to lift the driver. The cage device allows the filter brushes to be folded when the driver is lowered, and allows the filter brushes to be spread when the driver is raised.
