PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device to which an initial reset is applied at application of power without the need for supplying external reset signals. SOLUTION: An inverter 105 is an inverter where a current drive capability of a P-channel MOSFET is relatively higher than a current drive capability of an N-channel MOSFET such as 5:1, and an inverter 106 is an inverter, where the current drive capability of the P-channel MOSFET is relatively lower than the current drive capability of the N-channel MOSFET such as 1:5. Then in a hold circuit consisting of the inverters 105, 106, a hold node 107 is held at an L level at application of power and the hold circuit acts like a data hold loop of a D latch after the application of power.
