PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent print productivity from lowering due to an operation for printing a small number of copies of a print job requiring a long time for RIP where a printer is stopped after printing the last page of RIP because the print speed is higher than the RIP speed and thereby the RIP is not in time, and then the printer is started and stopped repeatedly. SOLUTION: In case of both side printing, start timing of a printer is controlled depending on the number of sheets mountable on an intermediate tray and the number of copies of a print document. In case of single side printing, start timing of the printer is controlled depending on the attributes of a print job and the performance of the printer. |
