PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-photosensitive thermographic recording material which realizes a print exhibiting sufficient achievability and image tone when an image is thermally printed by a thermal head printer for 15 msec. or less. SOLUTION: This substantially non-photosensitive thermographic recording material of a black/white monosheet contains a heat-sensitive element and a support, and the heat-sensitive element contains one kind of more of a non- photosensitive organic silver salt and one kind or more each of a reducing agent composed of one kind or more of a 1,2-dihydroxy benzene compound having a thermal action relationship with the organic silver salt and a binder. In addition, the molar ratio of one molar silver equivalent of a substantially non-photosensitive organic silver salt to one molar hydroxy equivalent of the 1,2-dihydroxy benzene compound is 1.2 to 6.0. Further, the 1,2-dihydroxy benzene compound has (CH=CH)n R group at the 4th place, wherein n is 0 or an integer and R is a substituting group with a Hammett σp constant of >0.35 and <0.95 other than a carboxyl group and a thermographic recording method. |
