PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for mounting an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag which enable to mount the RFID tag having a cylindrical antenna coil that can be miniaturized on a conductive member, and to provide a communication method for the RFID tag. SOLUTION: The RFID tag 1 which has the cylindrical antenna coil 2 and is formed in a bar shape as a whole is mounted while its axial direction is made to be in parallel with a mounting surface composed of the bottom face 7a of a mounting groove part 7 formed on the conductive member 5 and also to be in almost contact with the mounting surface.
