PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication device capable of reducing transmission power and a delay time until a success of an access in a random access channel. SOLUTION: A time mobile station 2 comprises an antenna 2a, an information signal receiver 3, a propagation loss calculation unit 4, a pass characteristic detection unit 5, a power change width selection unit 6, a transmission power control unit 9, a random access channel transmitter 8 for transmitting signals from the transmission power control unit 9 to a base station 1, an optimum control value storing unit 7, and an information storing unit 10. An optimum propagation loss PLM, a total pass number and a gradient of the pass are calculated, and an initial transmission power correction value ΔL from an optimum control value table stored in the optimum control value storing unit 7 and a transmission power amplitude step width ΔS are outputted. The transmission power control unit 9 controls the transmission power by an open loop power control using the ΔL, ΔS, PLM and a base station signal receiving threshold value TH. |
