PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a color filter with uniform optical characteristics inside a coloring part. SOLUTION: A partition pattern 4 composed of a resin composition containing a photosensitive compound such as TiO2 is formed on a transparent substrate 1. By exposing its side face, affinity for ink of the side face is increased by the action of photosensitive compound and a partition 4' of which the upper surface is ink repellent and the side face has the affinity for the ink is formed. The color filter is formed by imparting ink 5 to a region surrounded by the partition 4' and forming the coloring part 6.
