PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize the color temperature of the optimum video specifications corresponding to use by a liquid crystal projector of only one kind of a model. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal projector separates the illumination light emitted by a lamp light source 1 into color light beams of R, G, and B through dichroic mirrors 7 and 8, converges them on the surfaces of liquid crystal panels 19, 18, and 20 by condenser lenses 12, 15 and 17, and modulates the respective color light beams with pieces of video information of the respective colors, and performs color composition by a dichroic prism 21 to project the resulting image as an enlarged image through a projection lens 22; and in this projector, a square mesh wire cloth 11 formed of wires which are arrayed in meshes and form a plurality of rectangular opening parts is arranged in the optical paths of one of the color light beams or a plurality of color light beams and the projector has an opening shape deforming means 11a which can reversibly and elastically deform the respective shapes of the opening parts according to whether external force is applied to the square mesh wire cloth 11. |
