PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shower unit with heart rate detecting function with which comfortable and safe hot water showering can be provided to a user by detecting the heart rate of the user utilizing the shower unit can be detected without restricting the body of the user. SOLUTION: This unit is provided with a chair for the user to sit down, a shower discharge part for showering hot water toward the user sitting on the chair, sponges respectively attached at two spots of the chair in contact with the body of the user when the user sits on the chair, electrodes respectively fixed on the inside or surfaces of the respective sponges, a water passing pipe for respectively supplying water to the respective sponges for holding the respective sponges in a water containing state, a heart rate detecting means for detecting the heart rate of the user on the basis of electric signals from the respective electrodes, and a shower temperature control means for controlling the temperature of hot water showered from the shower discharge part on the basis of output from the heart rate detecting means. |
