CROSS-LINKED POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION HAVING EXCELLENT ELECTRICAL INSULATION PROPERTY AND THERMAL STABILITY

PURPOSE: Provided is cross-linked polyolefin composition having excellent long term thermal-oxidation stability and extrusion workability useful for inhibiting water tree generation and growth, in turn, applying to high-power cables for underground power distribution requiring insulation. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 1-4 parts by weight of chemical cross-linking agent, 2-35 parts by weight of glycidyl methacrylate grafted ethylene copolymer and 0.1-10 parts by weight of anti-oxidant based on 100 parts by weight of polyethylene. The polyethylene has 0.800-0.935g/cm3 of density, and 0.1-30g/10min of melt-index, 2-15 of Mw/Mn and comprises homopolymer, copolymer or copolymer having at least one alpha-olefin with 50,000-300,000 of weight average molecular weights.
