PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a liquid extract of the concentration higher than usual, which extract is obtained by vapor decomposition of an object to be treated. SOLUTION: This steam-treatment apparatus for vapor decomposition of the object to be treated by supplying steam to a pressure vessel in which the object to be treated is housed is provided with a condensate recovering means for recovering the condensate of the supplied steam which is stuck to the inner wall of the pressure vessel and condensed there and a liquid extract recovering means for recovering the liquid extract obtained by vapor decomposition of the object to be treated.
