<p>The motor vehicle reformer system has a reformer (10) to convert hydrocarbon containing fuel (22) into a hydrogen gas-rich reformat gas (28) in a reaction temperature, and a cooling mechanism comprising a copper heat sink. The fuel comprises gasoline, diesel and/or alcohols. The cooling mechanism is arranged for the cooling of the reformat gases to a corresponding discharge temperature pertaining to the temperature requirements of a downstream acceptor. The heat sink is arranged to absorb heat energy extracted from the reformat gas and to deliver absorbed heat energy at a later time.
