Firing equipment for a plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing a plasma display panel using the same are provided to prevent reduction of transmittance and an insulation breaking phenomenon by eliminating voids from an interior of the substrate. A firing equipment includes a fixing member(505) fixing a substrate with a certain pattern formed thereon, a heat irradiation member(540) irradiating heat to the substrate, a press member(530) pressing the certain pattern onto the substrate when the substrate is heated, and a vacuum suction member(550) maintaining the press member in a vacuum state. The press member is made of polymer resin, and has a heat resistance characteristic of less than 600 deg.C.
