PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetizing unit which is capable of accurately magnetizing a ring which forms a magnetic encoder and a rotary magnetizing method by the use of the same. SOLUTION: Side heads 3b and 3c are provided on the sides of a center head 3a wound with a coil 2. By this setup, a magnetic flux leaks less, and rings 1a and 1b can be accurately magnetized.
