The pliers (1) has two intersecting, flexibly connected limbs (2,3), each of which forms jaw (5,6). A jaw (5) with a moving disk-shaped insert (9) supported in the jaw by a circumferential edge (10). The insert is secured in the jaw by a bolt that runs perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the limbs. The insert forms a working surface (11) that is secant shaped with reference to the edge. A bolt (16) of the insert penetrates the bore (12) with play, the bore being formed in the insert and arranged in an eccentric manner in relation to a middle point of the circumference.
