A torque converter for a vehicle is provided to decrease a load applied on a vehicle engine by decreasing a capacitive coefficient at a middle speed range of the engine. An impeller is coupled with a front cover. A turbine is arranged to face the impeller. A reactor is arranged between the impeller and the turbine and changes an oil flow from the turbine to the impeller. A lock up clutch directly couples the front cover with the turbine. A torsional damper includes springs and a retaining plate. The springs are coupled with the lock up clutch and arranged in a peripheral direction. The retaining plate supports the springs. The reactor includes plural blades(113), which are arranged with a constant distance between them. First and second surfaces of the blade are arranged to be adjacent to each other. An inlet hole of the blade is formed the first surface, while the second surface is slanted from the first surface by a predetermined angle. The first and second surfaces of the blade are formed to be slanted from each other by an acute angle.
